Prototype

Express steam locomotive 18 323 with a 2'2 T29.6 coal tender of the German Federal Railway (DB). Former Baden IVh. Test locomotive at the Bundesbahnversuchsamt in Minden. Black/red basic paint scheme. With Witte smoke deflectors and Indusi on the driver's side. Chimney with a Caledonian rim. The locomotive looks as it did around 1966.

Model

The locomotive has a digital decoder and extensive sound functions. It also has a regulated high-performance drive with a flywheel in the boiler. 3 axles powered. Traction tyres. The locomotive and tender are largely made of metal. Smoke unit fitted as standard, with speed-dependent, dynamic smoke output, can be controlled digitally. The triple headlights change over with the direction of travel, will work in conventional operation and can be controlled digitally. The cab lighting, running gear lighting and firebox flickering can also be controlled separately in digital operation. Maintenance-free warm white and red LEDs are used for the lighting. Adjustable close coupler with a guide mechanism between the locomotive and the tender. The tender has a close coupler with a guide mechanism and an NEM pocket. The buffer height on the locomotive and tender conforms to NEM standards. The minimum radius for operation is 360 mm. Closer-fitting steps below the cab are included as replacements for large radii or display cases. Piston rod protective sleeves, steam and brake hoses are also included. Length over the buffers 27.2 cm.
