Prototype
Electric railcar ET 85 with an ES 85 driving trailer of the German Federal Railway (DB). Version with tail signal lanterns mounted up high, in a purple red paint scheme. Running numbers ET 85 21 and ES 85 20. Home depot Munich. The unit looks as it did starting in 1958.
Model
The ET 85 is the powered unit with a digital decoder and extensive sound functions. Regulated high-performance drive. Four axles powered. Traction tyres. Triple headlights and two red tail lamps at the outer ends over both units, changing over with the direction of travel, can be controlled digitally. Both units are permanently coupled to one another by a multi-pole coupling. The interior lighting in the ET 85 railcar and the ES 85 driving trailer will work in conventional operation and can be controlled digitally. Maintenance-free warm white LEDs are used for the lighting. The headlights at railcar End 1 and driving trailer End 2 can each be turned off separately, digitally. The cab lighting in the outer cabs can be controlled separately, digitally. Very detailed version of the running gear and the body. The car body and the car floor are of metal. Multi-part, multi-coloured interior details. Reproductions of brake lines and two close coupler heads are included. Total length over the buffers approximately 46.8 cm.
