Prototype

Class RAe 4/8 electric double railcar "Churchill-Pfeil" of the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB). Used as a charter train for excursions and group trips. Fiery red basic paint scheme. Railcar running number RAe 4/8 1021. Current operating condition.

Model

The railcar has a digital decoder and extensive sound and light functions. It also has a regulated high-performance drive with a flywheel. The two axles in the outer bogie on vehicle section 1 are powered using cardan shafts. Traction tyres. Swiss lighting changeover, triple headlights, and 1 white tail lamp will work in conventional operation and can be controlled digitally. The headlights can be switched over to 1 red tail lamp. In addition, a red right-of-way signal (wrong-line signal) at the front in the direction of travel can be controlled digitally and changes over with the direction of travel. Interior lighting fitted as standard will work in conventional operation and can be controlled digitally. The cab lighting can each be controlled separately digitally. The table lamps can be controlled digitally. Maintenance-free warm white and red LEDs are used for the lighting. Four bogie fairings are included for exchanging for use on large radii or for display in a cabinet. Total length over the buffers approximately 53 cm.
