Prototype

Set consisting of a heavy express steam locomotive with a tender, class 498.1, and four different coaches of the UIC-Y type. Version as the heritage locomotive 498.104 of the Železnice Slovenskej Republiky (ŽSR). Coaches in the heritage version of the Czech Railways (ČD). Two coaches of the type Ba 256, 2nd class, one coach of the type ABa 350, 1st/2nd class, and one coach of the type Aa 150, 1st class. Operating condition around 2018.

Model

The locomotive has an mfx+ digital decoder and extensive light and sound functions. Regulated high-performance drive with a flywheel in the boiler. Four axles powered. Traction tyres. The locomotive and tender are largely made of metal. Smoke unit fitted as standard, with speed-dependent, dynamic smoke output, can be controlled digitally. Triple headlights on the locomotive and dual headlights on the tender that change over with the direction of travel will work in conventional operation and can be controlled digitally. The upper headlight can be controlled separately. Illuminated locomotive number plate integrated into the upper headlight and functional. The cab lighting can be controlled digitally. Lighting with maintenance-free warm white LEDs. Adjustable close coupler with a guide mechanism between the locomotive and the tender. Close coupler with a guide mechanism and an NEM pocket on the tender. Buffer height on the locomotive and tender according to NEM. Brake hoses, an imitation screw coupling and an air tank to be mounted on the tender are included. The minimum radius for operation is R2 = 437.5 mm. Various detail parts are included with the coaches. Total length over the buffers approximately 142.2 cm.
