A complete layout in one weekend — the i-Track bet
Every modeller's dream: a real two-level layout, hidden yard included — no saw, no dust, no three winters of carpentry.
The problem everyone knows
A layout rarely fails on the trains; it fails on the baseboard. Cutting frames, levelling, calculating a helix that climbs without wheelslip: that is where projects stall.
What i-Track changes
Hacker Model solved the thankless part once and for all: laser-cut interlocking frames, base plates with calculated geometry, a hidden yard already thought through, and the double-track « Rondela » helix with constant gradient. You assemble, lay Märklin C or Trix track — and run.
The weekend, concretely
- Saturday morning — assembling frames and plates (screwdriver, no structural glue)
- Saturday afternoon — helix and hidden yard, with instructions and videos
- Sunday — track laying, wiring, first laps
The scenery will take the time it deserves — but trains run on the first evening, and that is what keeps the joy alive.
